19th Century Venetian Antique Glass Double Candelabra
Circa 1850, this highly decorative double candelabra features the attention to detail for which the glass blowers of Venice are known. The loveliness begins with the swirl décor in the base that has been crafted within the glass rather than painted on. That swirl continues in the serpent-like arms that curl out from the center to support the stationary bobeche and candle cups. Delicate green trim and flowers in varying shades adorn the piece, which are complimented by the gold leaf elements on the shaft and twisted finial. The piece can still be used today as a candelabra for special occasions.
