Early Amsterdam tall case by Loggen, Intaglio Inlay
This early 18th century Amsterdam tall case is signed by Johannes Loggen. This beautiful clock is a fine representation of what was being produced in Amsterdam during the early 18th century. This timepiece is an 8 day clock with operational moon dial, day of the month, and day of the week indicators. The dial is composed of bronze spandrels, brass silver plated chapter ring and hand painted moon dial. The movement strikes the hour at the hour and the half hour on bells. The case is beautifully detailed with intaglio inlay.
