Custom 66″ Round Dining Table in Mahogany

An English custom piece, this lovely dining table was crafted out of rich mahogany. The top is particularly attractive, designed with a starburst pattern created out of pie shaped veneer slices that come together to a center point. The slices are joined in such a way as to take advantage of the reflective nature of mahogany, allowing the light to play off the varying grains within the starburst. This effect makes the tabletop appear like it has color variations. The starburst is complimented with ebony, satinwood and walnut banding. Instead of a more common style of pedestal with legs swooping up from feet to a center round column, this pedestal was designed with a triangular-shaped column set upon a flat base, referred to as a platform based pedestal. The hefty paw feet scale well with the size of the table, and include bronze castors. Accommodating comfortable seating for eight to a cozy ten, we have a wide variety of chairs (such as these –link to A3572) that compliment this beautifully hand crafted table.
