19th century Petrin
This beautiful 19th century French walnut petrin (dough box) is a wonderful example of practicality and craftsmanship coming together. The base of the petrin is of a simple open design with turned columns and cabriole feet. The shaped aprons are adorned with very nice carvings depicting wheat and other foliage. The top or box of the petrin continues with the same theme of hand carving. The interior of the petrin is accessed via a full door on the front of the box.
