Late 18th century French Panettiere in walnut.
This antique French walnut panettiere (bread safe) displays all the traits that make an 18th century piece of furniture great. The mortise and tenon joinery, hand carved details and hand turned columns create a piece of furniture that is not only physically sound but also aesthetically beautiful. Not to be overlooked, is the hand wrought hardware. The hinge was forged to echo the design of the wood turnings and the escutcheon is a perfect compliment to the entire panettiere. Circa 1780.
