English Elliott clock in inlaid mahogany case

Late 19th Century English tall case clock with an 8 day movement that plays the Westminster on 4 tubular bells and strikes the hour on a fifth bell.  The movement was made by the Elliott clock company (located in London) which is considered to be one of the finest English clock manufactures of the 19th century.  The signed dial features an operational moon dial, chime and strike silencing lever, and a seconds hand.

The case is of mahogany with very fine inlay.  The claw feet, broken arch top, three finials and beveled glass come together to create an exceptionally beautiful and refined case, circa 1900.
