18th century oak corner chair with rush seat.
This 18th century English Provincial oak corner chair is absolutely charming. At first glance the chair appears to be of a simple design. Upon further scrutiny one notices the chair is anything but a a simple “country” piece. The arms gracefully curve into the chair back which not only looks good but also makes for comfortable sitting. Their are two nicely pieced splats which are flanked by three turned posts. The seat is rush which is another contributing factor to this chairs comfort. There are so many places in a home where this chair would be a welcome addition.
